GREENSHIELD ECOLOGICAL INSULATED LIGHTWEIGHT SCREED

Lightweight, water-repellent and fire resistant premixed screed providing thermal and sound insulation on the floors without requiring any additional insulation material for new and old buildings.

It is applicable in indoor floors of the buildings of any kind.

Due to its lightweight, significantly decreases the building load. So, both increases the earthquake resistance of the building and decreases the reinforcement requirements thereof.

Due to its high flexural strength and as it doesn’t contain water, it prevents the crack formation problems frequently encountered in conventional screed applications.

It is applicable directly onto the slab without requiring any additional application. Floor applications like ceramic, wooden lining etc. can be made easily onto the material.

Inorganic material-based, water-repellent, insulated lightweight screed material in the form of granulometric powder, modified with minerals, applicable in mortar form for thermal, water, sound insulation and fire resistance.

>Application Fields

It is applied between storeys in the buildings, in the flooring basements, balconies and before the floor coverings in the terraces having no heavy human traffic.

>Application Thickness

Application thickness is determined in accordance to the regional weather conditions, wall structure and insulation level required or demanded. So our experts will assist you to determine the suitable application thickness for your building.

Limitations on Application Thickness:
  • Minimum Application Thickness: 40 mm
  • Maximum Application Thickness : 150 mm
Surface Preparation
  • Application surface should be removed and cleaned from dust and wastes.
  • Application surface should be leveled and dried.

>Application Method

Greenshield Insulated Lightweight Screed can be applied both manually and by machine.

1. Manual Application

  • Pour one package Greenshield into a clean bucket of 30-40 liters.
  • Add approximately 6-7 liters of water into the bucket.
  • Mix it with plaster mixing machine for 7-8 minutes until it becomes thicken like plaster than it is ready to apply.

  • The prepared mortar is applied to the surface according to the floor surface conditions.
  • The surface is leveled.
  • When the surface is set, the last levelling is performed.

2. Machine application

Material can also be applied to the surfaces simply by standard screed machines. It is not required any other special machine.

  • One pack of product is poured into the screed machine.
  • Machine set is adjusted in accordance to the screed consistency.
  • If the water content of the material is too much, the water level is decreased until it reaches the required consistency.
  • The screed is applied onto the required surface and floor via machine pump.
  • When the surface is set, the last levelling is performed.

Cautions & Recommendations

  • Packs should be used completely while preparing the mixture. The product in each pack should completely be poured.
  • No more water should be added than the required amount.
  • Any different materials other than water should definitely not be added into the mixture.
  • The mixture shall be prepared with suitable plastering mixer under low-speed during the recommended period of time.
  • It is recommended to use mesh in very flexible or large surfaces and to apply joint applications with certain intervals on such areas.
